For a floral and soothing cocktail with a touch of natural sweetness, this elegant serve is a must-try. Infused with dried chamomile flowers and honey, it creates a smooth, aromatic base that beautifully complements the botanicals in Gin No.5 and the brightness of fresh lemon juice. Perfect for a relaxing evening or an elegant garden gathering.
Ingredients
-
60 ml Dried Chamomile Flowers (or 12 Chamomile Tea Bags)
-
90 ml Honey (approx. 6 tablespoons)
-
6 tablespoons Very Hot Water
-
475 ml Gin No.5
-
180 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
-
4 cups Ice
-
Lemon Slice
-
Sprig of Fresh Chamomile
Method
-
Infuse the chamomile: In a medium bowl, combine the dried chamomile and 6 tablespoons of very hot water. Let it steep for 1 minute.
-
Add honey: Stir in the honey and gently mash the chamomile with a wooden spoon to release its oils and aroma.
-
Strain: Let the mixture cool slightly, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
-
Mix the cocktail: Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, and ice to the pitcher. Stir until the ice has melted slightly and the mixture is well combined and chilled.
-
Serve: Divide the cocktail evenly among chilled coupe glasses.
-
Garnish (optional): Add a lemon slice or a sprig of fresh chamomile for a delicate and aromatic finish.
Serving Suggestion
Best served in coupe glasses for a refined presentation. Ideal for spring or summer afternoons, tea-themed soirées, or any time you’re craving a gentle, botanical sip.
