THE SAILOR'S POUR

50CL | LONDON DRY GIN | 40% ABV | £35

Inspired by long days on the beach and the easy pull of the coast, this proper sailors tin captures the simple pleasure of being near the water. The cornflower blue of the tin reflects the sea at its calmest where light shifts across the surface and the horizon feels close enough to touch.

Hand-illustrated on a cream background, a sailing boat sits across a bold blue strip that runs through the design, like a horizon on a tin of gin. It carries a quiet, salt-air nod to classic maritime heritage, simple and familiar, with weathered boats at anchor or  long days on the water, made for the coast and the ritual of a well-earned drink at the water’s edge.

Made for slipping into a beach bag or taking aboard it carries the feeling of sand underfoot, salt in the air and time moving a little more slowly by the shore. Clean, fresh and quietly refined it is a reminder of those familiar seaside moments that stay with you long after you have left the water behind and washed the sand from your feet.

TASTING NOTES:

A coastal gin from the British Isles awash with seaside botanicals.

This is knot your average London Dry Gin - it’s a breath of fresh sea air. On the nose bright green notes of samphire lead the way lifted by a subtle citrus sparkle with ocean notes in the background hinting at salt-kissed shorelines. The palate is crisp and clean with classic juniper at its heart delicately balanced by aromatic coriander.
As it develops a gentle salinity and the earthy freshness of samphire emerge like a soft sea breeze rolling in. The finish brings you right to the crashing ocean, refined, refreshing and unmistakably coastal.

SERVING SUGGESTION:

“The Fog Horn Cocktail”

Fill a highball glass with ice then pour in 50ml of gin from the yacht tin followed by 25ml of fresh lime juice. Top with ginger ale and stir gently to combine keeping the serve light and refreshing. Finish with a lime wedge to lift the citrus notes and bring a clean coastal brightness to every sip.

Or for a more classic boating serve a simple G&T works beautifully. Serve with a slice of citrus and enjoy in the sun perhaps whilst rowing on a loch or punting on the River Thames.
